Okay here is the next question. 1G n/t tranny to 2G turbo tranny will the clutch that I took off the 1G n/t tranny fit the 2G turbo transmission? 1G n/t tranny to 2G turbo tranny conversion for a front wheel drive application. I am using a 1G turbo Fidanza flywheel fwd.

I would be more worried about the axle shafts at the transmission. The 2g FWD's used larger diameter axle shafts. You might have to use the 2g axle cups at the trans with 1g shafts and 1g CV's at the hubs.

Clutch should work fine though.

The N/T 4G63 clutch is 10mm smaller in diameter compared to the turbo variant.
If you use a turbo clutch and flywheel on a N/T car, I can't imagine why it wouldn't work, though.

If you have a 1.8L N/T, then it's going to be even smaller yet (25 mm smaller diamater than the turbo clutch), and probably won't work even though all three have the same input shaft diameter and spline count.

I have the 1g 6 bolt n/t 4g63. So will the n/t clutch work, or do I need to get a turbo clutch to use with the the 2g transmission and 1g turbo flywheel.

In reference to the axle dilemma, could I just use 2g fwd axles, or are the lengths different?

The transmission shafts are of the same size. You could swap those transmissions and the N/T clutch/flywheel wouldn't ever know it.

That's good to know. So even though the turbo clutch is 10 mm larger, the n/t clutch will work.

What about the axle situation. What is the best way to handle this? use 2g axle cups, or just get 2g axles? are 2g axles the same length as the 1g axles?? Remember, this is a fwd application
