1g engine with a 2g transmission

ok i got a 1g seven bolt....and a 2g transmission...i have stabbed the transmission on there and i lack about a 8th inch to go and the bolts are getting really tight....does anyone know how to make this work or do i just need to get a 1g transmission for it......

Are you trying to put a 1g motor in a 2g or vise versa?

i have a 2g gst and i bought a 6 bolt but when i got it it had an awd transmission and its not even a six bolt its a seven...but im trying to use the old transmission and its not going together all the way...and it an auto...i think i have the tq converter in all the way i spun it and i clicked down about and inch or so in the bellhousing but i dont know where to go form here.......

ok i found out why it wouldnt work the transmission shafts are different the awd one is shorter could i change out the pumps and make it work
