I just put in a new clutch kit in my 92 Tsi. All works fine, like the shifter goes thru all gears when off. But if I turn it on and try to put in gear, its like a wall is blocking me. I'm pretty sire this means my clutch is not disengaging. I bled the system many times until the clutch fluid only leaked out. Any help is appreciated, especially If you live near Chicago area. Thanks guys

You bled it til only clutch fluid leaked out?
How are you bleeding it?

sent from my evo.

I bled the cylinder that's bolted on the tranny. Where is the other one. And also , the whole reason I did the clutch swap was because my clutch pedal wouldn't work aka disengage the gear. Hope his helps

Check your clutch pedal itself. The end where the nut is attached is probably worn out. Work the pedal with your hand pull it up as far as you can then press it down and see if you feel it slip. Also pull it up slowly and see if it "slips".

Ya guys it was the bushing on the clutch pedal assembly!! thanks all!!! how do I put resolved on the title? wanna help others if they have the same issue

i am having the same problem on my 90' :banghead:

see if there is any play in the pedal.....like the pedal moves but doesnt move the master cylinder. you get me? if thats the case, then your clutch pedal bushing went out and I reccomend welding it. If its somehing else, ### describe and I will do my best to help you:thumb:
