I have a question about the clutch master cylinder for the 1G Eagle Talon. I have recently purchased a master cylinder from an auto parts store; I have read on several threads that the auto parts store version of the master cylinder are junk and that you have to get an OEM clutch master cylinder. I called the dealership and they informed me that they have two different types: 89-94 and the 90-94, but they cannot explain the difference between the two. My question is what is the difference between the two? If anyone does know please let me know.

I have no clutch pedal in my car due to the fact that it keeps sucking air back into the line. I think it is due to the fact of a faulty master cylinder that I got from the auto parts store.

I just looked up the clutch master in CAPS (the program the dealer uses) and only saw one part number for all 1gs: MB555133

Ive used a master from advance no problems here, look for other possibilites. As far as i know there is just one part for your set up. Early or later 1g's.

It may not be the master cylinder but the slave cylinder my 2g was doing the same thing i had to pump the peddle like 100 times to get it to engage i wasn't getting air in the line but losing pressure.

Yes check slave cylinder for leaking. Just jack up the car and look for any clutch fluid on the slave cylinder or any of its connections. For some reasons I have had trouble with the autoparts store version of the slave cylinder but cannot speak for the master cylinder, bought the oem version and worked like a champ. Pull the master cylinder boot back under the dash and see if you see any fluid back there that will tell you if your master is leaking from back there.
