This is the second time I've pulled my tranny in a year, so I have a pretty good grasp on it. I pulled it this time to swap out clutch forks since I didn't do it originally.

Anyway, I noticed my car leaking transmission fluid out the transfer case. The leak looks like it's coming from the bottom middle bolt that holds the transfer case to the tranny. It's definately not transfer case fluid, it's much too thin as I use the redline thick stuff in the case.

Anybody had a leak like this? It's an odd space to have one, considering tranny fluid shouldn't be coming out there. I'll have time to look at it tomorrow, but I'd like some starting places to look. I have a feeling it's coming from the intermed. shaft and dripping down there, but I'm not sure.

I know, it was a partial rant. Everything I touched today messed up in one way or another. I should have stayed in bed. I'm betting it's the a axle seal or something in that area.

Ding ding, it was the driveaxle seal. I wasn't overly careful putting the driver side axle in and I believe I ripped it. It rips very easily and in retrospect, next time the tranny is out replace the seals on both sides. If it looks like your transfer case is leaking, it is most likely the driveaxle seal.

If I searched, I would have found :nono: Just posting this for the record.
