Clutch fluid leaking, moist near pedal, floorboard

Ive realized that my clutch fluid has been leaking lately, so ive had to refill it every now and then in order to be able to shift gears smoothly.
I found that there is fluid dripping down the clutch pedal, and there is fluid on the floormats near the pedals.

What does this mean, and how do i go about fixing it?

Leaking clutch master cylinder. Replace it.

It means that your master cylinder is toast. You're going to have to literally contort your body into a pretzel to get at it. It's a fairly straight forward replacement, but the awkward location makes it a pain.

+1 to all of the above, when master cylinders go bad they leak fluid and the floorboard get wet. If its too hard to contort to a pretzel just remove the driver seat, get a good light and go to town on it.

took me about 30 minutes the first time,worst part is the way you have to contort gl though

Bad DSM Master Cylinders - Turning Mechanics into Contortionists since 1990.

Best way to do it is to pull your drive-side seat, which is only 2 bolts and 2 nuts, lay in the floor, and change it.

For some reason, I've never thought about taking the seat out to do this, or anything for that matter under the dash.

Hahaha. Trust me, I did it once and said "Nope! " And started tearing the seat out.
