My stock clutch just started slipping in 3rd - 5th gear when I hit the boost. Due to money constraints I can't replace it with anything too impressive, but I think I've come up with a solution. I was going to order it online tonight, but decided to wait until morning to call it in. This gives me time to let you guys give the thumbs up or dire warnings.

I plan on buying the XTD clutch sold on ebay. I've read a few things and they seem allright. The seller said he's willing to give me the stage 4 setup (2,300 lb pressure plate) with the stage 3 disc (sprung VS un-sprung). Judging by similar products I expect a good compromise in streetability and power handling. My loang term goals are a modest 300AWHP though. Am I going over board? Would the stage 3 work for me? (stage 3 is only a 1,700 lb pressure plate)

My second question relates to the stock flywheel. Hopefully I will find a decent shop locally (the one I trust is a ways away) to resurface my flywheel. I've been toying with having it lightened. I don't know what the price would be and that may be a make or break deal, but how about risk of worsening any cracks, noticability of 2-3 lb difference, risk of explosion, etc...
