Whats up guys...currently trying to bring my 2G back with some much needed TLC.

Here's whats going on. The clutch is engaging differently at times, Im not sure what to do.

System has a brand new Master cylinder and Slave cylinder, installed by previous owner.

Any one of these scenarios can happen at any given time. Usually its something different every time I park the car and start it up again.

Scenario #1: Clutch grabs very normal, about half way with the pedal. Holds boost fine.

Scenario #2: Clutch grabs IMMEDIATELY after moving pedal off the floor. So much so that the car jumps forward. Holds boost fine.

Scenario #3: Clutch will grab very very late when the pedal is almost completely let off. When this is happening, the clutch will slip in boost.

Does the system just need bled?

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

If your car is FWD jack up the front (AWD jack up then entire car) after you do the adjustment, then put the car in neutral and start it. If the car is idling and the wheels turn on their own the clutch is still dragging, even after you've adjusted it correctly. If this is the case you'll have to pull the motor and see whats going on because it could be dragging for a number of reasons....

Can you elaborate on what those "number of reasons" could be?? Im having almost the exact same issues, almost down to the "T" with all three scenarios. Slave was replaced earlier this year, master just 3 days ago. Bled the system by hand AND with a vacuum pump. Adjusted the master rod tons of times with MrPeepers. Still having troubles getting it in gear with the pedal feeling great.. Then yesterday it started feeling soft and losing fluid again. No fluid in the cabin and no fluid loss at the slave... Ive got a full stainless line from STM on the way.. If that doesnt fix the problem Im gonna be at a loss..

Sorry OP I dont mean to thread jack..

Osmosis.

If the master cylinder is adjusted correctly and the hydraulic system is bled then its going to be more than just a 5 minute check to see whats causing it to drag. The dragging clutch could be from improperly torqued flywheel/pressure plate/block-bell housing bolts, flywheel/pressure plate could be warped, missing dowel pins, that 12mm bolt that goes in the back could be gone, the clutch fork could be hitting the bell housing, clutch fork could be broke or bent, bad master cylinder, bent/busted clutch disk, or you could have a bad TOB.

I will have to check out this dragging issue. My last car did that, and I thought nothing of it.

No need to apologize man, glad im not the only one with this weird issue.
