close to stock horsepower upgrades

Ive been reading that the jdm galant vr4 has around 240 hp. Ive got a completely stock 90 eagle talon tsi which I am thinking of upping the hp. Are there any specific differences between the jdm 4g63 and the udsm ones so I can upgrade my car. I really want to keep things stock or close to stock as I can for reliability.

Ive read that the injectors and possibly the turbo are different

USDM cars came with different turbo's than the jdm counterparts..

Also the intake manifolds are cyclones..And the injectors, I'm not sure of..

There are plenty of factory upgrades for these cars..And a few free mods you might want to take a look at..

Also turbo and cams are different on auto vs manual 1g's..
