OK guys i am a big newbie to dsmlink and i bin to ecmtuning website watching there videos and reading all there info. but still having a little trouble. My car for some reason only goes to closed loop mode only when i drive it for a while and modify the OpenLoopTresholds (ill post a log showing that). and then i change the treshold again and turn it back on and it stays in open loop mode!:banghead: This normal? saw the video on ecmtuning and his car stayed in closed loop mode just fine??http://www.ecmtuning.com/demos/fueltrim.html:confused:

I cant open the log, it says Incompatible file version while reading ByteRecord.
Anyways, put your Openloop thresholds back to stock using the arrow button at the top of the screen and save it. Then try it out.

Are your O2 sensor and ECT sensor working correctly? Cause those have a big part on open/closed loop operation. Anyone else have any comments, thats all I could think of without seeing the log.

You need make sure you have dsmlink downloaded to your pc, maybe thats why?
Yea i did put it back to stock and still :( Yea 02 sensor works i mean it does go into closed loop but i have to drive it for a while then if i shut if off it wont go into closed loop untill i drive it.:confused:
About the ECT sensor, well i think is working the way it should fans turn on car dont over heat, it does get up 206 looking at my data log.

Does anyone know what to i have to manually change to get to closed loop mode? Or what i have to look for in my logger to change?

Can ANYONE take a look at my log please? Abd tell me what i need to look for?

I'm at work currently and cannot look at your logs but if your having fuel trim problems here some info that I cherrypicked for you:

■Open loop (STFT and LTFT ignored)
■Closed loop (STFT used but LTFT not updated)
■Learn mode (STFT used and long term patterns moved into LTFT)

1G Open loop mode (any one true)
■Throttle position too high (varies by RPM)
■Airflow too low (units are tricky, but it's very low)
■Coolant temp < 87F
■The O2 sensor did not switch around 0.5v for over 20 seconds while running in closed loop mode. In that case, the ECU locks itself in open loop mode.

1G Learn mode (all must be true)
■Coolant temp >= 190F
■Intake air temp < 123F
■Baro >= 22.9 inHg
■Baro <= 31.6 inHg

Thanks for the links i seen the info above but not the links.
I read through the first link and saw "Fact 4" describing a dead O2 sensor wich i want to beleave is that? Even though it does go in to close loop mode (cycling up and down) only after driving for a little, and stops cycling ones shut off and turn back on immediatly.
