Clicking upon Acceleration Only

Hello All. I have been searching many websites and threads but have not found my issue yet. With so many out there, I have obviously not checked every thread, but I think I'm close. Anyway, There is a clicking noise when I am accelerating. This only happens when I accelerate. I do not hear it any other time. I have read about injectors, crankwalk, spun bearing, blown turbos and many other things. All of these seem like they would occur whether or not you are accelerating or idling. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Can you be more specific, like where exactly the noise is coming from? I assume engine, but I can't tell for sure from your post.

sorry about that. You are correct, the clicking is coming from the engine compartment, somewhere.

I'd pull the timing belt cover and turn the engine over making sure there was nothing wrong witht he belt.

Then I'd suspect a CV shaft, but thats just a guess at this point.

Yup, may be the CV shafts. If the clicking is worse when turning and accelerating, its a dead giveaway.

Thanks for the suggestions. I would have never thought of this on my own - going to take it to my mechanic tomorrow and see what he says. I will let everyone know what he says.
