Im getting this tick starting from 2600-2800 rpms and higher. It gets louder as the rpm increases. Its not lifter tick, replaced them with good ones and still the same. Heard a bad timing tensioner can cause this, (mine had 30k miles) so i replaced belt and tensioner. Noise it still there.

There is no obvious noise below 2500 rpms. And it only appears under acceleration. I can tap on the gas pedal and the tick will appear and as soon as i let go of the pedal, it goes away.

I first noticed this noise when i switched over to e85 (when i ran out i went back to 91) and the noise stayed. (bosh 1000cc injectors)

First i feared rod knock/piston slap, but theres no noise at idle or if i leave it on neutral and accelerate all the way to 5k. You can not hear anything. Ive tried lifting the car on all 4, and putting it in neutral and accelerating in gear, and no noise.

This tick is causing my knock sensor to go crazy while im cruising. I can not figure it out. Maybe injectors?

Ok, axles looked great, as well as the driveshaft. no holes on the downpipe. Still cant find any type of exhaust leak. (noise wont show up even after boost at low rpms) In the video please notice that you can hear a grinding noise at low rpms, i believe its coming from the transmission (ill make a video of that later today or tomorrow). My wheel bearings are fine as well as my ball joints and suspension.

Think that can be the cause for the noise ? and would it cause my knock sensor to go crazy?

Im getting a tranny this weekend and replacing it.

Ouch don't sound to good bro. Could just be the Clutch and the springs inside the pressure plate have popped out. Or possible the throwout bearing has failed. I would start by draining the trans fluid and inspect. If you see shiny metal and chunks it's toast. If it looks clean that most likely the clutch.

Theres no noise when its in idle though, so dont think its the throwout bearing. and i hope its not the clutch because its kinda new ha. and expensive. Southbend clutch with like 5k miles. in the past, whenever i drained the tranny, i would see gold flakes?
But im picking up a trans tomorrow from my buddies house. so if i dont need it. i can always take it back. But who knows right? I would rather have a tranny / clutch problem than a engine problem (build by with with Forge internals)

Gold as you say is actually Bronze flakes which would point to your syncros being trashed. And probably what's contributing to your noises. And ya I wouldn't expect a Southbend clutch to fail so scratch that one :). I love Southbend!! I would say your on the right track with replacing the trans bro. Really hope that's it for ya especially since you have another to swap in. My advise fill the new one with mitsu's trans fluid only. I only use diaqueen (for 6speed evos) in mine and get it from jnz or jacks trans. Best stuff you can put in and your trans will love it, and so will you LOL. http://www.jnztuning.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_30_111&products_id=1991
You can also use this which I did for years with great success and your trans will shift smooth as Budda haha. http://www.jackstransmissions.com/collections/fluids/products/oem-mitsubishi-trans-fluid, Amsoil also makes a great one but I'm just sold on the Mitsu stuff and see no reason to switch ;)

Ha. I love southbend, seriously best clutch I ever used.
If a throwout bearing was failing, wouldn't it make noise at idle in neutral and louder if revved? Since no noise happens when idle or revved. Only in motion

ok! car actually goes into gear alot better. And clutch pedal feels way better too. Transmission grind went away.

BUTTTT :[ still ticking noise at 3k + rpms

You guys think it is internal? Piston Slap? Rod Knock? It sounds like a lifter but ive replaced them. And same situation.. I know exhaust leak has been thrown out there. So i might just replace all the exhaust gaskets next weekend.

haha Took me about 7 hours with some slacking off. And replaced tcase

ok So noise is still there. Parked it and in neutral if i rev it hard and quick, you can slighty hear the tick. So if it was piston slap or rod knock itll still show in neutral right?

Timing belt has been redone. literally has like 200 miles ha. (OEM belt and Tensioner) Rocker arms are on there properly and lifters bled.

Alright, out of frustration i went on a little drive. And i noticed that when im at 3k and the tick is happening, if i go into boost. the noise goes away. Doesn't have to be much boost either. at higher RPMS the noise does come back but its faint. What you guys think

balance shaft belt is deleted. and i left the pulleys alone (has about 35k) and just replaced timing belt and tensioner (OEM)

So i removed my oil pan and found this on rod # 4

It didnt do much damage to the crank. So im pretty sure i can have that poished out. Ordering parts soon and going to recondition it. Atleast i caught it before it did some real damage.

have the crank checked out. if polishing doesn't fix it replace the crank. do not have the crank cut. don't get a refurbished one either. seen a few cases where they snap. at least you caught the problem now

the crank looks fine, imma have it polished and checked out. and yeah, ill never have a cut crank in my block.
