Hey there....picked up a lightly used 6 bolt forged bottom end.

Considering i've had 3 7 bolts crankwalk/spin bearings......i think it would be best to open it up and just check the clearances.

Anyone have a list for main bearing/rod bearing journal clearances along with piston to cylinder wall?

I'll have it up on the stand hopefully tonight/tomorrow....so i can show you guys whats up.

Thanks!

best bet is to pick up a haynes or chilton maual, they have all what you ask. I'm sure someone here with a 1g book will beable to spot you the info needed.

Connecting rod bearing oil clearanc=.0008-.0020
Main bearing oil clearance=.0008-.0020

Find out what pistons are in the block and then contact that manufacturer for their piston/clearance.
