Cleaning 4g63 my attempts to clean it just make it worse

I have been using purple power full strength to clean my engines for years and it has always come out great.

For some reason, after using purple power and rinsing, the engine gets what looks like tons of salt all over it.

I have read that purple power doesn't agree with aluminum.

The white salt looking crap wipes off, but it is a lot of work to wipe it off from every nook and cranny.

How can I get rid of this and what should I use?

You must be tryin to clean the head then, or some other alum part.

You must have let the purple soap dry on the alum and the acid in the PP made a crystline salt.

No easy way to clean it except a full dissasembly, with a thermal clean and glass bead of the part.

If there is another way, I do not know it.

Try using Meguiars Hot Wheels aluminum wheel cleaner. It's in a clear blue bottle. It sprays out as a foam. I use it to clean all the aluminum bits in my engine bay. It will fade black plastic, but it does a fantastic job at cleaning aluminum. I haven't tried their all wheel safe cleaner on my engine.

paint brush, varsol or toluene, and lots of fresh air.
use a container to hold the thinner and dip the brush in.
the paintbrush gets into nooks and crannys and the varsol or toluene rinses away with water.
this is how i do it anyways.
many clean engine bays this way.
and no fires or electrical problems either.
