Check engine light problem

The last few days i was driving my car i noticed that the check engine light is on .But i havent figured out what the problem is. so can anybody make any suggestions or tell me the problem.

Take it to autozone, and they can scan it for free, or go to the dealership and pay some dollars, of go buy a C.E. light reader for around 120-150 and can scan it yourself and erase it but more than likely will come back on since its on for a reason.
A check engine light will come on for numerous reasons so can never pin point just the light, go get it scanned and come back and post us with the number it gave you if you can't figure it out then.
