well my check engine light came on. i hooked up my datalogger. it has tunerstein on it. but i looked up the problem to see what it is and it said p1104. so i clicked on it because it told me to click on it to find the description for p1104, so i did so. it said searching for a couple of seconds and it said no results. therefore i got on my computer started looking around and found out its turbo wastegate solenoid. which i did unplug it because it had no use sitting on my car. well to be on the safe side i took it to autozone. they hooked up their machine and it said a bad o2 or TPS sensor. Now i don't know what to believe. So im wondering if its the piece of junk tunerstein or autozone is trying to get some money out of me. i don't know what to believe.

Chances are it's your upstream O2 sensor (if it is the O2 sensor at all)...I just replaced mine not too long ago for $60. If you can determine that is your problem just pick one up at oxygensensors.com...

could removing my wastegate solenoid make a difference in air or fuel ratio. i mean why would my datalogger say its my wastegate solenoid and autozone say its a bad o2 or tps.
I have air/fuel guage on my car. i know it won't work without the wideband o2, but normal it just jumps all over the place. Now that my check engine light came when i first start my car is shoots to green and stays there for a little bit. But if my airfuel guage is showing something wouldn't that mean my o2 is getting power and working, or could that mean its just getting power put isn't working. also everytime i disconnect my battery and then reconnect it, the light comes back on.

when using a aftermarket boost controller, manual or electronic, it is true that you bypass the stock wastegate controlller, however you need to keep that pluged in to avoid the CEL from coming on, just leave it mounted and pluged in, and then you will not have a CEL.

o2 voltage should range from .80 to .92 volts, if it is around .04volts @ idle and while driving you have a faulty o2 sensor, more then likely it would be the updraft, however if you have not elimated the downstream o2 like a have, cause i have 3in with no cat, it may also be the prob, just look @ the o2 voltages on both of them.

I dont think they are trying to rip you off. Simply put their obdII equipment is totally whacked and generic as far as codes go. They spit me out code p1105 for my check engine light, and on the receipt it said "dual upper alternator fault" and i was like "WTF does that mean?". They tried to pull some bs and explain what it meant, but ultimately they really had no idea. I went home, looked up the code in the search bar on this site and got

P1105- fuel pressure solenoid malfunction

you got
P1104 Turbocharger wastegate solenoid Malfunction
trust me, trust that one, from my experience, they are only good at getting the code, diagnosing what the code means is a different story.
you got

P1104 Turbocharger wastegate solenoid Malfunction
thats what you should trust.
