cheapest/fastest/easiest way to buy/find a non abs prop valve?

I'm trying to do the non-ABS conversion on my 94 AWD, but finding the proportioning valve is a pain. I don't really want to go through the dealer and pay $100+ for it, but finding an AWD with big brakes in the junkyard is impossible.

Anyone know of a vendor that sells them, or can I use one from a 92-94 FWD? I'm not really sure what years/models I can take it from... I just assumed I was limited to 92-94 AWDs because of the big brake factor.

Any help getting this would be appreciated. Thanks

Seriously, If you don't want to pay a vendor for one. Go to your local junkyard and pull the lines and prop valve off of a crapped out Non ABS car. I got all of my lines and prop valve for < $6.

I got mine from NT FWD Non ABS car. If you're not using your car for Road Racing and whatnot I doubt you will notice the difference between the FWD propvalve and the AWD one. You can always replace it later if you don't like it.

But what about the big brake part, I know my junkyard has non ABS 1.8's and a 91 thats a 2.0. But will that part make a difference?

I'm not worried about braking performance that much, I don't really drive the car hard. I just don't want to screw anything up, you know?

It's not going to mess anything up. The only thing you will notice is when braking hard if the rears might lock up before the fronts. What the prop valve does is during hard braking the front end is nose diving taking weight off of the rear. If it continued to give full pressure to the rear then the rears would always lock up and you spin out of control. The prop valve will lower the pressure to the rear wheels so that they won't lock up. My guess is that it will be fine.

I haven't had good luck with those guys returning my emails about things I need. A junkyard here has a 94 n/t, so maybe I'll try and pull everything I need off that car tomorrow and go from there. Thanks for your help!
