Cheap pure meth at Walmart (no HEET)

sir, what meth kit are you running? Just curious.. Im considering purchasing the AEM kit which i can get for $318 shipped and it has a resivoir.

My tuner highly recommends the kit for safety on an aggressive pump fuel tune.

He told me the most important thing with meth is a strong ignition system, because misfiring on high power pulls will put huge strain on the rods when meth is being used. He also said that you dont try to make extra power on meth then you would on normal pump, its simply used as a safety aid, and you add it to the mix once you have your 'aggressive' pump fuel tune dialed in.

the tuner is AEM certified.

Anyways, so yeah, what kit you using?

I am considering using the washer fluid as a starting point and adding HEET to make a 50/50 mix. I'm hoping that the added meth will inhibit the formation of the deposits that some guys have experienced with the washer fluid.

If you take one gallon of -20 Supertech (Walmart brand which is approx 30% meth), divide in half and add two 12 oz. bottles of HEET to the 1/2 gallon of washer fluid it will give you right around 50/50 meth/water. This ends up being a bit cheaper and easier than buying straight meth and mixing it up.

I had issues with the blue dye in the washer fluid or somehting that was leaving large deposits that were blue. After mixing my own i've enver had that issue since.. Also, pure methanol from our local circle track shop is only 3.45 a gallon and distilled water is 99 cents a gallon so you get 2 gallons of home mix for ~$4.50 and you know what's in it because you mix it, that's why i like it so much

Agreed!!! Sounds like he's never messed with it before. I never thought it had the potential it does until buying a kit after some reading on here and doing a lot of testing on my own. The stuff is like magic in a bottle IMO, way better than any otane booster. But now i'm hooked on E85 (even better than our 100 low lead we can get at a few stations)

After a few weeks of tuning i had safely gained 4* of timing and 5-6psi of boost with pump 91 and a 70/30 meth water mix using an M10 nozzle. I later added pre turbo injection and still run that ontop of my E85 because i'm out of injector using the corn gas. But you definately use the water/meth to gain boost and timing making more power safely!!!!!!!

I'm envious. If I could find meth that cheap around here I would definitely mix it myself like you are doing. Unfortunately I can only find it in 55 gallon drums.

Yea, i'm running one nozzle pre intercooler/post turbo and one nozzle immediately pre-turbo as well. It's working great for me and when i can touch the intercooler and have it almost frosty I know i'm gaining some great cooling ability from it!
