Cheap exhaust, can I use it, is it worth it?

Pace setter exhaust

This is an exhaust for a non turbo eclipse, I own a 1990 plymouth laser Turbo, I just purchased punishment racings 2.5 inch aluminized steel downpipe, if i get a piece of test pipe or high flow cat, can i bolt up this non turbo exhaust because i think the price is worth it just for the 2.5 inch pipe that cat back system comes with, even if the muffler is crappy I have a good one ready to go in my garage, what are your thoughts, will it work, and function well?

If the piping is what you really want, then I wouldn't buy that exhaust. You could have a local muffler shop put on some madrel bent 3" or 2.5" piping for cheaper than 200$. My muffler guy made me up a madrel bent 3" cat back for 125$.

yes, but i want to use a test pipe and the guy at the muffler shop says he wont do it without a cat because its illegal....... can i have him leave the stock cat, and bend from there, and then just bolt up the test pipe myself?

Flanges. Make sure you will be able to remove the cat and replace with a test pipe whenever you want. Simple tell him that you are going to use a cat and replace it later...

To get my car past inspections i'll be putting a cat on for abit - and bolting on a test-pipe later.

I guess.

just give him a cheap cat that's the same length and flange type at the test pipe you wanna run, once he's done making the exhaust take the cat off and put the test pipe on..
