Changing splines

I have a 92 gsx, and being that, it is a 23 spline. The only transmission that i can find for sale is a 22spline. The guy said that all i would have to do to make it work would be to change the imput shaft. I was wondering if that is all i would have to do, and how i would go about doing it. I have searched but what i found was not that helpful.

Please don't waste your time with the 22 spline trans. It's 99% sure that it's from a 90 car and is going to have other issues like linkage.

Yeah I see what you are saying, its just there are not that many trannies around me for sale.
