I changed the oil pump seal and the crank seal on my 2g 4g63t. I didnt touch anything else and now my car has like no power. The turbo spools and holds 10psi but no power car boggs down and when I got back home there was smoke everywhere. The only thing I can see that happened is some wires under the car around the oil filter came unhooked. Would this cause my problem?
I have circled the wires in this pic. Please help this is my DD

Also when I got back the exhaust side of the motor was really hot. I pulled the dipstick out to check the oil and the towel i used was alittle wet and when it touched the dipstick it sizzled. The oil was low though. It had plenty of power before I took it apart to do the seals and now nothing. Im stumped :banghead:

Changed the spark plugs too. ngk

Just some more input, coming from a guy that cant even get his car started, it might sound basic but hook up those wires so you can atleast see your oil pressure and what not. smoke everywhere? from the exhaust? what color? is the head gasket shot or does it run fine?

Best way to check the oil level is when the motor is cold and on a flat surface. I hope you find the culprit you might have to back track and see if you can source out the problem.

It wasnt oil smoke. Not sure whet the smoke was from, I did degrease the motor a bunch of times. The oil was low because I had a leak before and forgot to check it again. The timing on the crank was 1 tooth off would this cause a loss of power?

Heres a pic of how the timing was set. As you can see the crank timing mark is like 1 tooth advanced from the rest. Big problem? doesnt idle rough just boggs bad when I boost it.

You need to fix your timing first off. Second, have you done a boost leak test?

Meh. You should be checking your oil level every time, or at least every other time you fill up your gas tank. Driving around with a low oil level is just asking for a broken DSM.

Ill do a boost leak test but I had no problem with that before. 10psi by 3500rpm. Im running a 16g with a manual boost controller. As it is now it spools fine and holds the 10psi the car just doesnt go anywhere. Like its hitting a nasty fuel cut or something.

Also can anyone tell me where those wires go in my first pic?
