Thanks, Kevin! It's new from a member so I have to get it coated. Looks like the color I'm aiming for but might just be the pic.

They are outsourced to a local professional costing shop a few mins away, we gladly take in things people need coated if they do not have the option locally

Any information on how the coating affects the performance of the piping (like insulating properties) and the durability of the base metal? Is this mostly just appearance, or serve some greater purpose (not that appearance doesn't count, or we'd all drive boxes).

Don’t know the science behind it. It helps contain heat and also looks amazing.
 
Found a local guy that charges $165. I do like the color that it came in. Now I’m undecided which color to go with.
