hey guys, quick question for you. i have a 96 gs eclipse. I have black rims with a polished aluminum lip around them. The rims were manufacturer clear coated when i bought them. the salt on the roads and daily use has made the clear coat crack and peel off. I have restored the aluminum lip, but the black is now dull without the clear coat. How can i restore the black rims to their original dark color and shine.
Any responses are appreciated.

Wet-sand them with 2000 Grit sand paper, And re-clear them. If you don't have access to clear and a spray gun, Take them to a shop. It should be cheap if it's not a shop looking to get rich quick. I do this for Cheap to help people once they ''spray paint'' their wheels. They bring them to my shop, And I clear them with good automotive clear out of a gun. (I'm in Hazleton PA)...

I live in Schuylkill Haven. Its right by Pottsville. How much would you charge if i brought you my rims to clear coat?
