The second pic is kinda blurry, but I hope you get the idea. Comments of all kind are indeed welcome.

Not yet. I could only get two rims done at a time (only have two spares) I'm hoping to pick the other two up tomorrow. I figured waiting would be better looking than to have one of the rims you see in the front, and a RS rim in the back. :barf:

Looks good, but mind if I make a suggestion?

Don't know if it's already on your "to do list." But those calipers would sure look great painted to match the car or the rims! It would really add the finishing touch to your "new" rims.

If you dont mind how much did it run you, and I am assuming that you didnt have tires on the wheels when they were powdercoated. John

Yeah, the plan is to have the calipers powdercoated red when I get home from vacation. :D

The job was roughly 80$ per rim, and yes the tire had to be unmounted prior to powdercoating. :thumb:

So pretty much it cost you 80$ per rim, plus however much you were charged for unmounting the tire, then however much it cost for mounting it again, then balancing? Do you have any idea how much the entire job cost, not including the initial cost of the rims, if you dont mind me asking. Thats what i have been looking for is some nice black rims but there is such a limited selection that buying silver and powdercoating them is not a bad idea.

I may be off by a few bucks, but it cost me roughly 400$ for everything. Now keep in mind that the guy who did it doesn't have like a actual shop. He does all this work straight out of his garage. Before I found him, shops would charge at the leat 600$ for the powdercoating alone. Doesn't even include supplies, umounting, balancing, etc.

Try your best to find a guy that does his own work, offers the deal at a good price, and can provide pics of his previous work.

You're right, but so many people here in Vriginia Beach have the rims like that. Now, we don't all have the same rims, but they do have the style you mentioned.....I just try to make things different.

I still love it though. :p

Pictures as promised. Too bad I got them on too late, as it was a beautiful day here.

Unfortunately, I'm leaving for vacation in a few hours. When I get back, I'll get her cleaned up, and take some good day pics. ;)

Wow, Where I am from we have a local guy who runs his own buissiness and does multiple jobs. His main gig is Powder and Ceramic coating. And Its perfect all the time, He has more color choices then most people Ive seen and for all 4 wheels to be done would cost $200.00 maybe taking a little off. Im getting my Turbo Compressor/ Exhaust housing/Exhaust Manifold/O2 Housing/Intake Manifold/Fuel rail/Valve Cover.....I think thats it all done for $200.00 as well The hotter stuff is gonna be Black Ceramic and everything else will be powder coated a lighter gunmetal type to match my laser sideskirts and Red lettering on the Valve Cover and Cyclone Intake Manifold.

Sorry it took so long, but here are my updated pics of the powder job. As you can see, I finally got around to painting my calipers too! :thumb: Next, will be my new rotors, which are already sitting in my house. Look for those to be on, with new brakes next week!! :)

This is OT... but what kind of detailing do you do? Techniques and product wise..

Sorry to sound dumb, but I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to ask me.

LOL, all I do is wash it once every two weeks at the most with meguiars and tire wet.:thumb:

I really do need to get the front bumper repainted tho. :(
