Ive slowly been breaking my new engine in. Last night, while driving home.. link threw a CEL, so I logged in, and it was Excessive time to enter closed loop. The car ran alright, I cleared the light, and drove home and parked it.

started it up this morning, and no code. My front o2 is a new BOSCH unit, but my rear is whatever was in it, when I bought the car in 2010. What can I do to prevent this CEL code from being thrown?

Also, I WAS running an Fp68HTA turbo, w/680cc injectors, and when I'd floor it, my wideband (NOT CONNECTED TO DSMLINK) would go Way rich, peg it into "10". Now with this td06sl220g turbo, and 1000cc injectors, at 13psi my wideband read 11.2 ?!?!?! from what ive seen 11.3 is good... but that's at like 30psi on a dyno.. what if I try to run 18psi and she goes lean??! 12.2 , 12.8 or something.. I don't have any boost leaks... every single thing is brand new. I was kind of hoping this 20g at 13psi would read PIG RICH!!! with 1000's !??

11.2-11.3 is a tad lean from where you want to be at 30psi using anything other than E85.

If it goes lean, get off the throttle and adjust the tune or find the problem in the fuel system.

Excessive time to enter closed loop can be caused by a few things, none have anything to do with the rear O2 sensor.

2G Open loop mode (any one true)

Throttle position too high (varies by RPM)
Airflow too low (units are tricky, but it's very low)
Coolant temp < 51F
Coolant temp > 228F
The O2 sensor did not switch around 0.5v for over 128 seconds while running in closed loop mode. In that case, the ECU locks itself in open loop mode.

Don't try to tune by swapping parts. That's why you have Link.

Delta/Pauley:
Im only running the base map. All I did was enter my base fuel pressure, injector size, and deadtime. I have not messed with anything else. Global % was pre-calculated. The fuel pump has 20k on it (Walbro 255), and it is not re-wired. From what ive heard/seen, the FP68HTA will outflow this td06sl220g, or at least equal it, and my 680 PTE's wud peg it 10.0 on my wideband (new sensor), now with pte 1000's im seeing very low 11's.. 11.2 11.3. possibly the 20g is outflowing the 68hta? Also, the entire time I ran the HTA, I had stock cams.. right now,i have .040 wiseco's, and 272 cams?? Im new to "tuning" but not new to maxing out a basemap.. :)

You need to setup your wideband in link or start datalogging it at the very least. Tou can probably get away with leaving your timing alone, but you are going to have to tune your car now.

I current have my base fuel pressure set to 43.5psi, and installed a walbro 255 fuel pump. It isn't re-wired. Am I going to gain more fuel by re-wiring it? I have don't some reading and see there is a difference. Anyone have a link handy, showing how to do this. I mean if I yanked the driveline, and installed all new stuff, and kept her on the road for 4 years, it shouldn't be too tuff. What do I need to buy? relay, thick wire, ground wire, etc. I own a '96 TSi...any 2g links? I appreciate all the help.,
