2G CEL P0505

I got a CEL p0505 Idle Control System Malfunction, what sensor is that?
idle air control? who wants to sell me one?

Thats your ICS motor. You can find one on ebay or get one from the dealer. Replace, clean out your throttle body when you do it. You should be fine then.

Im havin this prob too.. CEL reads P0505... i kno ths the idle control system.. but if i replace the IAC/ISC sensor will it solve my prob? i also wanna kno is it the same part in the 1G eclipse/talons/lasers? and does it matter if its turbo or non turbo .. i foudn one in a junkyard but its for a non turbo 1G..will that part work for me? pleasee help

yea mine has the same problem but i just keep clearing the code every 400-800 or so miles then it comes back WTF it helps if you lower the idle really low (mines at around 650-700) otherwise cleaning the throttle body is a good idea like said above. o yea and i also got a ISC from a 1g in the junkyard (the beige plastic one) it was junk and i think it only works on 1g's correctly

aiight so i went to advanced n ordred an Air Idle Control Valve. the guy said it didnt matter for a 1G or a 2G and non turbo n turbo.. well it does.. this one, i guess ,was for a non turbo .. diff male n female clips... i was wonderin .. its been doin this for a while but i recently put in a XACT flywheel n new clutch.. could the lightend flywheel b causing this? im outa options.. wats its suposed to idle at n e ways. i herd that if u set the idle too high itll thro ## CEL.. if i set it to like 700 itll stall. and wat u use to clean out the TB??
