CD player wont work????

MY CD player in my 98 GSX wont work, its the stock one, it wont like catch the cd i can push it in their and when i do it says E i a am guessing error, anybody know the problem think its finished???

No, they're separate entities. Grab another off eBay, here, or anywhere else. They go for a song.

this is what I do when I get that error reading I keep on putting it back in until it finally accepts it which is like a good 20 time but eventually it'll play the cd though so persistence is the key here.......well for me anyways.........

This seems to be a fairly common problem. I ended up buying an aftermarket and taking apart the stock one in an attempt to find the cause but to no avail. Just get a new aftermarket or used stocker.

Are you playing CD-Rs or original CDs?

I tried both Cd's and cd' r's but my tape player works, so i am doing it the poor way, i have a tape that goes in tape players and hooks up to my walkman cd player :laugh:

what ever works i have to do that in my legend it dont even got a cd player

Just a suggestion.....pull the unit out and disconnect the harness for a few minutes. Put it all together again and keep your fingers crossed.
