Hey guys new hear. Just picked up a 90' Laser. It's got the radio with the cassette underneath. I was wondering how I could go about putting a CD player in it. Should I take the radio or the cassetter out and how is it wired. Anyone got a diagram I could look at. Also what kinda of install kit should I get.

Get a wiring harness, an install kit and a 1din CD player. Check out www.crutchfield.com for pics.

This is my setup on my 2G. Got the install kit and wiring harness from ebay.

Get a smart harness. It will make your life alot easier when it comes to installing your headunit. You can get them at Circuit City, they're a little more pricey then just the wiring harness, but like i said SOOOO much easier.

Do you guys have some model numbers so when I go there I know what I'm looking for. You guys are awsome on this forum.

As said above try Crutchfield first. If you buy a headunit $129.99 and up from them they will give you the haraness, install kit and directions --> FREE!

If you go to there...(bestbuy)?? and tell them what kind of car you have they will know what harness you need. They usually have them is stock. So like the other guys said if your buying it new from there they'll install it for you. However if you allready have the cd deck its a very simple install. First you need the harness connect them to your existing wires in the car. Pretty straight forward just match each color to the same color. Then connect the wiring harness' together and your done. The install kit is pretty straight forward as well, i think its only like 2-4 bolts you have to screw in. Its also a good idea to have a test light with you just so your sure you're connecting the right wire:)

Thanks guys, I've installed em before so I'm going to do it myself. Just wondering what kinda kits everyone was using. Seems pertty simple.

It is simple. Pick one...

On Crutchfield,

Lol, that made me laugh a bit. There's a possibility that the two incidents are linked, but I highly doubt it. That is like saying "I went to the insurance company to take out insurance on my new motorcycle, then it got stolen the next day, it had to be their fault" I mean come on, when my car got stolen not to long ago, it had to be the restaurants fault that I went to the day before, cause I payed with my debit card and they got all my info.
