I have a 91 talon with a radio and separate cd player.I would replace it but it looks almost new(and its already in there)The dash lights work in it and so does the clock.I hit the power button and nothing. Is their a common problem with these and what wire is the constant one in the harness.

Constant wire is the red/black wire from the bigger connector. I would also check the fuse panel underneath the driver's side dash for blown fuses (specifically the 4th fuse from the left of the top row).

I did check all the fuses, but if it were blown wouldnt the clock not come on?What else is on that circut?

The only other device on that circuit is the power antenna. The fact that the buttons illuminate and the clock works kinda points to the radio either being toast or the button itself being broken. If the clock keeps time, then the constant wire has to be hooked up properly.
