radio/cd player help

I have a 1998 stock eclipse GS.

It has the stock radio/cd player with a 10 disk cd changer in the back.


Everytime I put in a cd in the cd changer and try to listen to it, it shows up as the cd being in the 6th slot and then says E.

This is how the player displays it.

6 E 01.

I put the cd in both ways and im sure its not the actual cd, cause Ive overwritten it a few times to make sure I didnt mess up.

Have you tried original cds? Usually stock radios can't read CDR or CDRW

Check your owners manual that looks like maybe an error code. If it its the owners manual should tell you what error the cd player is reading.

i believe it would be the stock cd issue as PR_DSM stated
