i ought my car with a cathc an on it but only the hose coming from the valve cover is connected to it and the other nipple on the catch can is open. heard different thigns from my friends but they really werent sure so my question is does that second nipple have to be connected to soem type of vacuum line , plugged up or left alon. i mean the car rides fine now, jsut the studderbox (my previous post). any input at all very much appreciated!!!! keep :rocks: guys!!
 
Please learn to search before posting a new thread, this topic really has been beaten to death and kicked some more. Read through this thread and continue your questioning in that thread if need be.
 
There are two vents on your valve cover. One is to the left side (this is looking at the engine) and the other one is on top. The one to the left is good to have on a catch can because if you don't have it connected it will sometimes leak oil in your engine bay. This vent is usually hooked up to the intake pipe that is on the turbo. Make sure that it is plugged!

the other vent on the top of the valve cover is a valve and you would need to modify that to hook it up to the catch can. I would just leave it.


Make sure to empty your catch can ever once in a while!
