Sounds like it necks down in spots, I would prefer a full 3".

Here is the one I just bought. Full 3 in. except for where it bolts up to the cat..

One thing I noticed is that it didn't say whether it was for fwd or awd. Not sure about 2G's but I know that on 1G's there's a big difference between the two.

There is a difference between 2g fwd and 2g awd when it comes to exhaust, just like the 1g's. I would not recommend the ebay exhaust because after a year or less the canister goes bad and the exhaust gets really loud and unbearable (from my own experience), so save some more money and get a decent one.

hmm it all sounds good but here is my question ok ive been receding that most of these wont fit a gst spider and that's what i have. any recommendation?

Any FWD or GST exhaust will fit the spyder...and it's not spider it's spyder...

I have 3 dsm's and and made 3 AWD swaps as well,so trust me on this.
