Cas wiring

I have a 7bolt with a 1g cas. The plug for the cas and cam sensor were take off by previous owner who did a 6bolt swap. Now i when ahead and wired up my cas and it rutn on with a very high idle of 2k. Now my question is if i would have wired it wrong then it wouldnt even turno on right? Or would it?

If your engine starts then you wired your CAS right. If it doesn't start it could be sometime as little as the timing being off. Not your case, but now you will need a timing light to set your timing when you get your vacuum/boost leaks fixed.

Basically what i am trying to explain is that i cant tell the difference between 4 wires. Two are black and 2 are red. One set of red and black belong to the cas and the other red and black to the crank sensor. Based on (RRE Instructions ) we use black, red and blue from the crank sensor and only the blue with white stripes from the cam sensor to wire it up on a 2g harness. I tried using both red and black since i am not able to tell which red is from the cas and which black is from the crank sensor. I tried using each one at different times and the engine turned on with no problem. I just want to make sure i don't damage anything here. Thanks

if it wasn't wired in correct you would trow a code very fast. ...besides not running right

well i really cant tell if it not running right since it sounds the same when i use each different wire. I should get my laptop here tonight to see if it throws any codes but the check engine light did not come on at any giving time.
