My cas is currently set right, however upside down.
(pigtail is on the bottom)

Would this cause an idle to sound almost like a cammed idle?

Just figured i'd post this here, seeing as there's no other posts like it.

Thanks!

I assume you are talking about a 1990 CAS since it is the only one with a "pigtail". In that case, it is supposed to be coming out the bottom.

Like this?

Seems like an elementary question for you, Scott. Maybe I misunderstand your question?

Inverted the signal will tell the ECU to fire the plugs and injectors 180* out. Basically they fire at the wrong times.

Then I don't know. Not sure if the housing connects to any thing or if its just a case.

Either way I look at it... it can't be set right and upside down. I mean, sure the alignment marks can be mated correctly, or even reversed.. but the CAS is going to read incorrectly anyway as it's still based off of the mechanical timing.

So.. yeah. I'd assume that it's going to run weird until you flip it back over.

Agreed, I'm pretty sure they can not be installed upside down due to holes being offset...

Well... Still -shrug- It's Lofty we're talking about here. If ANYONE figured out how to do that, it'd be him.

Was with a bunch of dsmers last night, they swore it was upside down.
I was skeptical, figured I'd post. Guess it's on okay.

Noobs that don't have a 90 dsm.
