ive tried reading over these forums and ive come to the conclusion that my problem isnt like everyone elses

my car runs fine at idle but when im on the gas maybe 20% and the turbos about to kick in the car feels like its got a boost leak.

but when im at wot the turbo spools to 14 psi holds for a lil the slowly drops to 12 or so and about 5k it sputters kind of like a minor fuel cut.

also when at wot it has absolutely NO power i got beat by a 420a with exhaust and intake thats it ... not even full exhaust cat back, so something is obviously wrong here suggestions ?

you might be phantom knocking, run a tank of race fuel through ## engine and try some seafoam ive heard that help cure PK,
phantom knock is when you step on the gas and your car spoils up to like max boost or however much your boosting it and the car goes nowhere, cause ## timming retard do a search on it and read up about it. That would be my best guess why ## boosting and not going anywhere, unless u got a really bad leak :D

ok well lets try this no plugs are not ngk and no i havent tested for boost leak and theres no race gas around hurrr

See the difference?

I just paid attention to your problem.......
Still running the stock T-25?

Your plugs need to be changed.
You need to test for boost leaks. wiseman oldman does it every other oil change, and every time he touches the turbo track.

The stock T-25 cannot hold boost to redline. So it dropping off is normal.

my 1g is doing the exact same thing. went to the shop today and hooked up the datalogger. apparently i was knocking about 10 points when the exhaust fluttered causing my timing to be retarded and loss in power. im gonna try some fuel injector cleaner, then maybe some seafoam. hopefully that cures my knocking problem. :thumb:

i have no race gas in my area #1

and #2 what is seafoam where do i get it and is it expensive ive never dealt with it

and ill get those plugs and wires soon so i can let you guys know what the deal is eventually thanks alot if none of those solutions dont work im gonna cry and of course do what ever dsmer does.....

start putting data loggers and boost leak tests and fixing everything else that oculd be wrong with my car GRRRR wheres my rachets and screwdrivers

ko well some more updates i havent done any of the things you suggested yet but... the car doesnt have these problems when its below normal operating tempatures

hey yea.... my problem was a major boost leak that when you looked ta the pipes was fine but when it was under pressure would seperate and show a massive hole ..... me and my friend paul while the car was running just touched one of the intake pipes and the hole was hue

so in the end... simple boost leak
