i currently do not have a mbc, is that the problem?

Also after i removed the hoses i took it for a short test drive and it pushed my oil out my dipstick hole and covered my engine...... need help!

Also are all the sensors supposed to be unplugged electrically or not?
Such as the turbocharger waste gate solenoid and the evaporative emissions purge solenoid?

Ya but the car dosen't come stock with the mbc, so by by-passing it does it hurt anything? is this why it smokes so bad?

you should never tap in to the bov for the waste gate. just run a line from the bov to manifold and a separate line from pressure source to wastegate. and leave all sensors plugged in.

No thats not why it smokes. Bypassing the Boost controller will give you 8 lbs off boost which is the the pressure spring of the Wastegate. A few ideas of why its smoking:
Your turbo could be blowing oil
Valve seals could need replacing
Piston rings could not be sealing anymore
Broken ringlands in a piston
Or just where you threw oil everywhere if its smoking from the engine and not out of the exhaust system.

Turbo seals, valve seals, could be any of those lots of smoke sounds like turbo seals mine had same problems turbo seals lots of smoke. Could be anything related to the engine problems doesnt sound like a emission problems.

Well it definitly isnt just the oil burning, when i run it and rev it up a little smoke comes out the dipstick hole....

Also why did the oil come shooting out the dipstick hole???

I would double check your lines, mainly the Crankcase (Valve Cover) breather and PCV line. It seems you are introducing boost into one or the other, and blowing the dipstick because of the new increased crankcase pressure.

My crankcase breather is still hooked up to my intake beside the turbo and my pcv is still stock aswell

Thanks for all the help guys, im taking it in tommorow. From what i have read i think its HG and/or valve seals

^^ does your bimmer have a 4g in it?

Thanks for that laugh! No it doesn't. I turbo charged the 2.5 liter 6 cylinder. The car runs and drives, i just havent gotten the front door panels on and worked out the kinks like the powersteering leak. I paid 800 for it, painted it, and turbocharged it. I tried to put a 16g on it, but ended up putting a holset hx35.

My dsm days are over, just too many bad experiences with the locals. Im doing my own car, how i want it, and im going to be different in my poor man's supra. I really just wanted something turbocharged that is a good daily driver. Its a 4 door.

Dont start assuming stuff either, check your turbo for in and out shaft play. Any in and out means it needs a rebuild and that it will blow oil.

Yea I'd say excessive crankcase pressure also. You have to have too much pressure in the block to push the dipstick out. Good luck bro!

What color is the smoke? White? Black? Blue tint? You can usually tell if it's tubo, head gasket, or something else by the color of the smoke.

i also have an e36 and was thinking about turbocharing it :thumb:. rwd 2.5l inline six sounds pretty badass to me! and a turbo on top is bitching :rocks:. how hard was it to turbocharge? what kind of tuning software is out there for those cars? what was the hardest part about the actual conversion to turbo??

do you happen to have a build thread on the conversion?

I used to have this problem when I WOT. The dip stick would pop out and blew oil everywhere and then oil will get on the exhaust manifold and that's when it burns the oil and will smoke everywhere.
