I have a stock 93 Eagle Talon, 1.8 L SOHC 5 speed. It was driving perfect since I bought it. Last Thursday, I was on the way to get some gas. Car was on E. As I was leaving I went through 1st and as soon as I shifted into second, the car just died. I thought I had ran out of gas so I put 1/8 of a tank in and tried to start. It was turning over but not starting. I got it pulled home and in the process I tried to pop the clutch to see if I could pull start it. All I got was a raspy sound and backfires. Well I got it home and checked the fuel filter, and fuel pump. Gas is getting to the filter and to the fuel rail. I then thought injectors were clogged. Took those out and clean them up. Put them back in still no start. Checked the spark on all the wires and plugs. Spark was there but weak. Reaplace the plugs and plug wires. Still turning over but not starting. I check the rotor and distributor connectors and they aren't corroded or anything. I smell a fairly good ammount of gas under the hood when trying to start so I figure it has plenty of fuel delivery. I checked the MAS plug and I am getting the correct voltage. I also tried to start without MAS plugged in. I have no clue what to check now. Any help would be appreciated.

check your timming belt.put #1 cylinder on top dead center and see where your timming marks are.that would be the first place to start.

Well.. I checked the timing on the car... When number 1 piston is TDC on the compression stroke the rotor on the distributor is exactly lined up with the contact for the number 1 plug wire... My timing is exact. So what should I check next?
