Me and a friend replaced the fuel pump in my 90 FWD with an evo9 pump. My friend also extended my maf-t harness so I could mount it inside the car. Tried starting it, it'll turn over but won't fire up. Keeps flooding out. I went back and rewired the harness the short way, and now I get a mafs signal but still nothing.

If i let it sit for like 5 seconds and try starting it, I get a little cough or sputter. But it will not run. I try flooring the pedal, nothing. I'm stumped. I've checked every single plug in the damn engine bay and everything is fine.

Please help. I want to try my new injectors and pump

I just have the stock fpr. Yes, I hear the pump come on. The pump is flowing plenty of fuel.

The maf-t is setup for a 3 inch mafs and the base dial is on D for 560cc's.

Check to make sure your getting fuel to the rail and that your getting spark to the plugs. What all did you change before the car stopped starting? Check your coolant temp sensor too. If the sensor is unplugged or malfunctioning the ecu will assume the car is freezing cold and dump fuel, making it almost impossible to start.

A coolant temp sensor will have you gray haired in no time with hardstarts..That little sucker knows how to ruin days!

I had so much fuel in the combustion chambers that I was able to disconnect the injector clips and run the car for about 3 seconds. I wouldn't recommend this though since that creates an extremely lean condition extremely fast.
