New fuel pump, car started but now won't

Brought my dsm in to a shop recently since my oil pan needed to be replaced and my fuel pump was extremely loud.

They replaced the oil pan and tossed in a deatcshworks dw300 pump. Previously, I had a walbro 255.

We drove the car home and it drove great! Next day we get a p0170 code and the car won't start. It tries to start but won't turn over. My afpr is showing pressure.

Would my previous tune cause this? I only had the car adjusted for my denso 660's.

If I keep trying to turn the car on will I flood the engine?

I would need a little more history on the car but general p1070 code would probably be caused by your MAF not reading properly. This could be due to a higher fuel pressure introduced from the increase in lph. I don't think you'll flood the motor but you are probably running a little rich right now. Do you have an AFR in the car? That could give us more info.

I have a wideband but I can't really get a reading since it won't start .

I think the new pump has altered my fuel pressure and now my plugs are ruined. I think putting in new plugs to start the car and then adjusting the fuel pressure may fix it. Thoughts?

Before I had the pump replaced, everything was perfect.

Correct me if im wrong, but if you have an AFPR then the base pressure should remain constant regardless of pump output.

Also are you sure your 255 was bad? Mine makes a LOT of noise but I thought that was just the nature of the beast.

Anyways, you can check your plugs without just replacing them, but its a good place to start. See if you can find a friend that will let you swap in their MAF sensor for a few minutes just to rule out that possibility.
Please give us more info as you troubleshoot.

Pretty sure your 255 was fine. They are just known to be loud.

What aftermarket fuel pressure regulator do you have? All walbros whine, did you adjust the fuel pressure? You need check it if you changed a new fuel pump the pressure will be different. Also make sure your o2 isnt bad. Any pre o2 leaks too will cause issues too. Also recheck your tune if you had a tune.

I had the Walbro for quite awhile. I know they're loud. But two weeks ago it became extremely loud. You could hear it 50 feet from the car. It was terrible.

Anyway, I put in new plugs and it started right up. The fuel pressure was 7 psi too high. So, I adjusted it to the normal 43psi intake capped.

Only problem now is that the car idles rough, 17:1+ AFR. It does the same when I start to drive it until I get the RPM's up a bit. This causes it to stumble and sputter. I'll have to recheck the tune.

It's weird though because the cruise AFR is perfect.

Yeah, I read those threads. Thanks though.

The o2 is fine. Logging with evoscan shows it's working properly.

Now the car won't start again, but I think I might have bricked my ECU.
