OK so i just got my car back from getting a new head, cams, tranny, fmic and turbo. My problem is that i cant keep my car started for the life of me. I turn it on and it seems to idle fine but then starts to sputter a little then dies. If i try to turn it back on the car will start at 500 rpms but just die right away. I have to be hitting the gas to get the car started again and even then it takes a decent bit of gas to do it. The gas doesn't seem to catch right away. I hit it and hold it but it takes a second or two for it to catch. Also my 02 readings aren't what the should be. They don't really surge up and down like they should. They will stay up in the 80's to low 90's when I'm just driving around. Even when I'm not on the gas. It might go down to the 70's occasionally and I've even seen as low as 40's.
I haven't done a boost leak test yet. It's on the top of my list i just need to get to a compressor. I checked my timing which is set to about 5-6 degrees BTDC. Also tried to mess with the idle but none of the helped. The car was running very good while i had the ecu grounded out for setting the timing and idle but as soon as i took the alligator clip off it went right back to what it was doing. In order to fix this problem temporarily i tightened up my throttle cable so the car idles at 1500-2000. This seems to be the only way i can keep it running. Now another thing is my isc stepper is pegged at 54 on my logger but i didn't check that before i messed with the throttle cable. I will say that the longer the car is running the worse the problem gets
Please help guys I'm stumped.
