Car Won't Start Consistantly And Boggs Out

Ok so i've had my eclipse will start up on it's own sometimes and will start up with carb cleaner all the time and it won't hold idle. from what i've gathered the problem is the camshaft position sensor, but i need to know for sure because i'm trying to sell my car. anyone else had this problem? i need to know ASAP! thanks!

ok well since i have no way at the moment to check the pressure i'm just gonna put a regulator on that i have and see if that makes a difference

It might make a small difference. But I wouldn't recommend that since you do not have a gauge in order to set it to 37 psi.

i really don't think it's the regulator...from what's going on i really think it's the pump. when i put the filter on it made a HUGE difference

well guess what just f'n happened?! now when i turn the key all it does is click! this car is nothing but a headache!!

Did you bother restarting the battery? Your battery is ###### dead from all that cranking and not driving to car to recharge the battery

I hope you get this fixed. If the car hasnt been ran then the battery is probably just dead as mentioned above. If you replacing the pump I would recommend aftermarket. I changed mine to an OEM style from vatozone and found out a few days later I coulda went with a wally. Needless to say I am better at planning ahead now.

Here's my two cents worth, I would definitely check to see if the new fuel rail is getting fuel. Here's the article with how to check for fuel safely:

Did you bother restarting the battery? Your battery is ###### dead from all that cranking and not driving to car to recharge the battery

the lights still all come on though but i'll try and get a charger and charge it. but this is what happened i was trying to start it and it sounded fine but then i went to do it again it just clicked but everything was on.

I knew it. The auto part stores around my way know me well for charging dead or bad batteries . I put those suckers to the test, & I do not hesitate to take a survey

Charge that sucker and start her up. Even if you have to use starting fluid after a few cranks, we will atleast know if it runs right when you jump start it. Keep trying bud, its all about faith

thanks man i'm putting the fuel pump in today and tomorrow depending on how long it takes. yeah all i can do is keep trying and hoping that it runs right. and atleast if the fuel pump don't fix it all the way i'll know it's a fuel pressure issue . but i honestly think it's just the fuel pump. i really hope it fixes it
