ok so if my fuel pressure is low this will be the reason for whats going on or...and if it is low once i check what would i have to do to fix this problem what will cause the fuel pressure to be low and if its a leak were would i look to find it...would there be any other possible reasons why this is happening so i can check while im at it

i think i figured out the problem guys i put my fuel lines backswards on my fmu LOL....im going to fix tommorow and see if she stays at idle..

i fixed the fmu and changed the fuel lines and put the fmu vacumme source to the intake manifold put some starting fuel and started it it idled for about 3 secounds then droped and died it did this about three times i ran out of options i dont know what else it could be any ideas guys could it be the waist gate...?

The FMU was a step in the right direction, but you're still taking shots in the dark. Do the tests you need to do (i.e. fuel pressure test) and give us the results.

ok were would i be able to get a fuel pressure tester and once i do get one how would i run the test?

Harbor Freight, AutoZone, Advance, JEGS, Summit Racing, etc. all sell fuel pressure testers.

Simply connect the tester to the test port on your fuel rail and read the gauge. It should read about 50-55psi.

thanks ill let you know......do i try to start the car afther i attach the tester to read the psi or do i juss plug it in and itll read it on its own

Try starting the car. The tester is just a pressure gauge that will give you an instantaneous reading the fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

You mean you sprayed starter fluid in there, right? This is an archaic, but effective way of checking to see if its a fuel related problem. My first test for fuel is I see if it would run on starter fluid (or carb and choke). That's what it sounds like is happening.

If that's so, then you have isolated it down to fuel. From there you need to start checking fuel related things.

thanks guys for all the help i got it running today the problem was the fuel pump wasent pumping gass into the line i had no fuel pressure....i was driving the car and my downpipe hit the floor and my 02 sensor came off is there anyway i can fix that so it dosent thow a code for emissions

Reconnect it? Install a new O2 sensor? You'll have to be more descriptive of the problem if either of those things won't work.
