Hey guys I finished my rebuild on my 420A awhile ago but I'm having some problems. My first problem is when I try to start the car, it doesn't start. it cranks and sometimes goes on for a second but once i let go of the throttle it dies. I am using 10W-30 oil and my machine shop suggested to use Lucas oil stabilizer so I changed the oil and used it. I noticed that even though I hadn't drove the car since the rebuild and the engine only ran for a total of about 1 hour, the oil was black. Since I used the oil stabilizer I haven't got the car to start. Whenever i did get it to run it had a small knock coming from around the cam gears. My last problem is when I press the clutch in I hear and feel grinding and the car dies. I just changed to a non- modular clutch with a aluminum flywheel and new clutch all from fidanza. Please help I can't wait to drive my car again.
