Hey guys before anything i did search for this problem but i didn't find the same exact symptoms.

So i'll start my car when it's cold and it runs perfectly fine absolutely no problems. Then when it gets warm (temp guage goes half way maybe less) It shut's off. I go to start it again and it doesn't start it tries to but it doesnt. Then after i went to the beach and came back I tried starting the car again when it was cold and it turned on perfectly fine and ran smoothly then AGAIN it turned off. :banghead: I tried turning it back on and same thing happened as last time it tried starting but didn't. Then after a couple times it didn't even try turning on again all i got was a click and thats it. WTF

My battery isnt dead (i know this because i have a volt gauge).

What could be the problem? All the wires are good i checked them all.

So what can it be?

When you turn the car off the fuel gauge will remain where it is.

So, you're saying when your engine is warm it's having trouble starting? If that's the case I would bet it has something to do with the CLT (Coolant Temp Sensor). You can test it's resistance to check it, or just replace it.
77*F = 9k-11k Ohm
212*F = 600-800 Ohm
That's the values, if you're looking to test it.

If you're going to post a question please do it in one thread. Also, make sure that question is relavant to the thread at hand.

First thing I'd do is check the clutch safety switch and disengage it if you haven't already. Disabling Clutch Starter Cutout Switch Yes, its the same for the N/A guys too I know because I did it to my GS.
After you do that and it still won't turn over check the starter.

Ok kool first i'll get a new CTS since it's only 20 bucks. (i don't mind buying new sensor's anyway). Then i'll disable the the switch, check the battery and relay and if all that still doesn't work i'll get back to you guy's.

Thanks for the help.

The reason why I say to disable the CSS (clutch safety switch) FIRST is because its a free and a 5 minute fix, you just crawl under the dash and unplug it. If it is the CSS though the car won't turn over or nothing, I had mine just go out on me one day and luckily I remembered back to that writeup.

Good luck.

So i went to autozone bought what i needed CTS some antifreeze and i also bought a switch and 12 guage wire.

Now the reason i bought the wire and the switch is i was thinking of a cool antitheft feature. I'm gonna run a wire from the starter power cable to the switch in my dash then back to the starter wire(the little one that controls the starter power). So lets say someone try's stealing my car they will probably have a hard time figuring it out since if they try turning it on it won't. Plus this is a easier way to fix the problem.

You guys think this is a good idea or no?

:thumb: SO COOL :thumb:

I've never had anyone attempt to steal my car and I park it on the street everyday... A $2.00 switch and a roll of wire is a good investment if it saves your car from being taken, just hide it well because people that steal cars for a living know about the switch going to the starter. :aha:

Kool thanks alot for the help.

I'm gonna go install everything now and see how it turn's out and i'll get back on here asap to tell you guy's.

So i found out that my car hates me

I went to turn the car on after installing my switch and it turned on WITHOUT the switch. I just wanted to see if it would work and it did! :banghead:

Then i turned it off and went to turn it back on with the key and it didn't work then i tried to turn it on with the switch and it didn't work WTF I wired everything perfect and i've done this on another car before the same exact way and it worked.

So now i'm just at the conclusion that my car just purely hates me LOL

Any idea's why this is happening?

When you say, "it didn't work", what does that mean exactly? It turns over, it just clicks, or you don't get anything? If you're a little more descriptive in your post you'll better and probably quicker answers.
When trying to troubleshoot something you want as little things to cause the problem as possible. Leave the "switch" that you made out, for now till you get your problem fixed. Then move on and do whatever modifications you want.
Step one: Remove whatever switch you just installed.

When i mean it doesn't work i mean i only get a click and that's it.

So i decided to check out the starter by putting one end of wire to the power supply and the other to the little wire that gives it power and i got no spark what so ever. I checked the power lines then double checked and triple checked them and they were good no corrosion or anything.

Does this mean the starter just went bad?

SO i got another starter and once again the car doesn't start.

I tried doing the bypass trick again (wire from the power cord to the small black cord on the starter) and this time i do have spark but all i get is that click as if i was trying to start it with key from the ignition.

Isn't that trick supposed to bypass EVERYTHING? The starter is brand new and yet it still won't budge.

I'm totally bummed out about this guys   any help would be very appreciated.
