i have finished my 90 model tsi awd and went to start it up. Well it ran for about 5-7 seconds and fell on its face. I messed with the CAS and made sure my mechanical timing was right (which was dead on), checked my maf to see if the connector was plugged in, which it was, and i checked all my vacuum lines for leaks and whatnot...im running out of ideas....anyone have any suggestions

i Had a simular problem, turns out i had vacuum leak from my injector seals. If you can get ahold of a smoke machine i sugest that. See if it changes when you unplug the MAF.

You can get the same answer plus some by doing a boost leak test.

Assuming you have a compressor the tool is cheap to buy or make. You will also need a big spray bottle with really soapy water. This is how I found my very tired injector seals and some other leaks.
