just replaced: intake manifold(dejon), uicp(dejon), intercooler(dejon), maf(used gm maf+used maft), licp(dejon), intake pipe(dejon), air filter(k&n)

it wont idle, it wont even try to idle, the maf readings seem low, but i wouldnt know, i can post my logs if needed.... the o2 volts WILL NOT no matter what, change.... it just sits at .03 volts and has for a long time now... i tried starting it before the intercooler was on (the maf is on the uicp) and it would just die, but now that the intercooler is on, it just dies and it makes a high pitched sound.... my guess is that its the turbo, but i dont know....(why it would be the turbo or why the turbo would be making that sound...) my thoughs:

1. bad maf or maft

2. bad o2 sensor

3. vaccume leak, made a crappy boost leak tester that doesnt work, going to fix it this weekend maybe....

i know i can check the dtc's for the o2 sensor, but since it doesnt idle its kinda hard...ill have someone else do it while im keeping the engine alive...

as for the maf.... i read somewhere that the leds on the maft are trouble shooting leds, and that if two leds go off than there is no signal from the maf, is this true, and if so, how can i check this myself... or do i have to have someone else....ill try putting the old 1g back in, but since im venting, i dont have anywhere to re route the bov to.... would that be ok tho, since i just want it to idle so i know whats wrong....

just realised that its most likely the o2 sensor because

i tried starting the car numerous times when i had the ignition completely flipped, which would have had a lot of fuel going through to the exaust, aka the o2 sensor... which i believe ruins o2 sensors.... does this seem logical?

if it is the o2 sensor which should i get, (mitsu, bosch, xyz)

also, this still wouldnt explain the high pitched sound i hear now that the turbo is hooked up(intercooler is on, along with air filter and intake pipe)

today i checked the dtc's while the car is running, then i called my friend at satan...(i actually kinda know someone who works there...and has for a long time...) when i discribed to him whats going on, (the smell of fuel assaulting my nose, and the o2 volts being low and there being no dtcs....) he said that there is most likely a vacume leak... and since i did reuse one of the throttle body gaskets, and thats the first thing that came to his mind even before i said anything about the gasket, i desided i might as well replace them for 5 bucks from satan... small price for peace of mind.... also i think one of the bolts wasnt on very tight (to the throttle body...) since its almost impossible to get to.....

so:

boost leak test, after gaskets are replaced
and
is there any way to check the maf/maft to make sure its good?

No, test before you remove the TB so you know what else is leaking, you don't want to find leaks after you put on the new gasket and have to take it off again. TB shaft seals, BISS o-ring, injector insulators, all four nipples tapped to the intake manifold....etc, this is where soapy water come in handy.

well its kinda too late now, but whats the name of that thread tape used if you have a leak in your nipples on the intake manifold?

also, is there any way to test my gm 3 inch?

you can take it to a GM dealership and their techs can check it out

From my experience with mass airflow fuel system; Mitsu, Hyundai and Nissan in particular, comparing your readings with manufacturer specs can mean absolutely nothing. I have seen so many cars that have good MAF readings but the sensor is bad and causing metering problems anyway. The only way to know for sure is to replace with a known good part. Cheapest would be to barrow a friends.

WTF WTF WTF WTF they have those?

DOOOHH.... why didnt i think of that.... thanks....if anyone can think of anything else i should do please respond...

also, oldman, all my throttle body seals were good when i took the car appart, why would they be bad now? (like serioiusly, what would cause them to go bad, arent they not really exposed?)

LOL I never said they were bad, I said to test in case if they are bad, not to mention we never discussed it's previous conditions. Just run that leak test and find out.

i know you never said they are bad, im just asking what makes you think they might have gone bad? and where will the soapy water come from if that is the case?

What I meant was to get youself a spray bottle, mix dish detergent with water, shake it up well and spray the soapy water on all gaskets and seals or where ever boost can leak. When you pressurize the intake, leaks will present themselves in the form of bubbles due to the soapy water.

yes, and what im asking is, if my throttle body seals are bad, where will i see the soapy water coming from?
