2G Car won't go into gear and is now making a noise

So I just put new coilovers on the car and 2 days later my car would not go into gear while it was running. If I started the car in gear I could use the clutch like normal but it had a hard time shifting so I just thought it needed a clutch so I ordered one and before it got here I put the car on stands and let it run so it could warm up after sitting and I realized /i have a pretty bad sound coming from the right side of the engine. It almost sounds like a chattering which makes me a little scared that it started to walk. I have checked the harmonic balancer pulley and the rubber seems to be in good shape and isn't separating. Also when I push in the clutch it doesn't change the sound.

If you're concerned about crank play then check for it.
Push the clutch in. That will push ithe crank as far forward as possible. Then push the crank back at the balancer. It it moves and you can feel a discernable amount that's bad. Meaaure with a dial indicator to get an objective number.
