Hey guys its me again. So i finally got my car to start and its running beautifully. I unplugged the coolant temp sensor and it started right up and idled correctly. after letting it warm up i took it for a drive around my block to see how it was working. The car moves in every gear, then only problem i had that worried me was that while i was driving there would sometimes be a grinding noise and my car would slightly hesitate like it was misfiring. Then one time in third gear it made the grinding noise and then my car completely stalled out. It immediately started back up and ran fine, but im not too sure what it could be, maybe my transfer case? any suggestions? i appreciate the help guys

Why are you unplugging the coolant sensor, for when you do, it throws the system in an open loop condition since the ECU NEEDS to communicate to the CS to make the system run normally.

Replace the coolant sensor (which is less than twenty bucks) then give it a try.

Checked the fluid level in the tranny? Should be at the bottom of the bolt hole where you put fluid in.

because otherwise it wouldnt start...

Did you investigate where the noise comes from? You only hear it from the inside? Only while moving or standing in the garage as well?
Does vanish when youre on the clutch pedal? then it might be a tranny bearing.

And yea, get a new sensor prior to testing ^^

Quite funny: car runs beautiful while you have to unplug a sensor and hear strange noises - but thats everybodys definition of beautiful :D
