1995 Eclipse GST 5 Speed Turbo
So this is the car I bought,
1995 Eclipse GST 5 Speed Turbo 14B (have a small 16g to go with it)
Front Mount Intercooler
Greddy BOV
Stage 2 Clutch (no grinds in tranny)
Short Throw Shifter
3" Turbo Catback
Full Bottom End Rebuild (crank bearings etc.)
Greddy Manual Boost Controller
Autometer Boost Gauge
Skunk 2 Lowering Springs
Greddy Turbo Timer
3g Lifters (not installed)
box of intercooler piping to go with it
its one of the cleanest 2g eclipse's ive seen in awhile
There is the info incase you cant click on the link. The car did not have the 3g lifters on in and the lifters were pretty noisy but the guy said it was normal and gave me the 3g lifters. The turbo had some shaft play but he gave me a new small 16g. The boost was only set to like 8 psi. I was driving it home and had the cruise on, I noticed that the car was boosting at cruise where it was normally at like 10 in of mercury. So I looked at the temp qauge and it was hot not all the way to the top but hot so I pulled over and it stalled. The coolant was boiling and the manifold was red hot. The car starts and makes a bunch of clanking noise and will run if i keep it running and will stall like the internals are stiff and it just quits. I looked at the dip stick oil and it looks fine, the coolant is still green and the turbo is not locked up.. I live in Mishawaka IN and i know nothing about these cars or who can fix them. So the first hr i owned a dsm look what happen. Any suggestions or places to bring it. Anyone wanna make some side cash?
