i have a 2nd gen with the 6bolt. built motor.. 16 g turbo etc. i had an exhaust leak and i just fixed that but before i fixed it i put new spark plugs in it and i put the e3 that require no gap. well lets just say i think that this was a horrible mistake... i was driving and the oil pressure light comes on when i push the clutch in. but now its been stalling out when i am coming to a redlight or stop sign.. anyone know what the problem could be? it has the act flywheel and act clutch..

Have you checked the timing with a timing light? I also find that many times stalling like that is caused by the rpm's and timing dropping too fast for the ISC to catch it. If you have the base timing <5* it will aggravate the problem. The lightened flywheel and vented BOV will also make the problem much worse.
Sorry to hear about the timing belt. Do you have receipts showing who did the timing belt job? Did you buy the car privately, or from a dealership? I can't believe how many shops can't figure out how to do a proper timing belt job on a DSM. :( This happens way too often. That's why I bought the tools and learned how to do it myself instead.

i guess the shop open the oil cap or something and tryed starting it and saw that the cam wasnt turning..i bought it from a guy who specializes in dsm.. when i bought it i thought it was rebuilt by him but comes to find out it was rebuilt buy the guy before him.. and just had the word of the guy that told him what parts are on the motor..i have no receipts..

took valve cover off. the cam is pinned from the rocker braking off and falling down and wedgin it in. they said i might need a new cam, the timing belt isnt snapped. it is just missing more than half the threads.. there going to contiune with the tear down tommorow. and depnding what they find i might take it to a guy who specializes in the dsms to do the work for me.. cheaper than this place.. i am goign to be looking for a head with everything on it.. preferably built up a little bit.. then might need the pistons and arms and everything while i am at it if it turns out a piston is ruined.. hope it doesnt turn out to cost me as much as a new car.. =[
